As a group, we decided 5 targets we plan to reach in order to improve our main film. These targets have been decided based on the down falls of our preliminary film.
Targets.
1. Lighting- For our main task we plan to use artificial lighting where neccessary as opposed to natural light to improve the overall aesthetic quality of our film. Below is a link to a website that goes into more depth about the use of artificial light in film as opposed to natural.
2. Script writing- In our preliminary, I feel we failed to communicate our story to the audience accurately so they are left confused as to the ideas behind the film. To counteract this we plan to think carefully about how we will communicate with the audience through our script, ensuring the story is clear.
3. Framing- When filming we plan to place more emphasis on the positioning of actors within the frame, looking at using techniques such as rule of thirds and extreme close ups to emphasise focus on particular characters and help the audience identify with them.
4.Filming & Editing imporvements - When editing our preliminary we used very straight forward editing techniques which made the overall film quite uninteresting. We also added poorly carried out techniques such as jump cuts that were added for the sake of using them rather than to add effect, this made the film look disjointed. In our main film we plan to incorporate different filming techniques for effect and emphasis on certain events.
5. Team communication- As a team we had several disputes which resulted in disagreement rather than resolving the problems. In the future we plan to have discussions and make agreements within the group.

This scene was simple to shoot, the only trouble was car's interupting as it was shot from across the road.

| In this scene we faced similar callenges to the first scene, filming from across the road meant severla disruptions from cars, this also interupted the jump cut in a detrimental way. |

POST 8 - Production Report
There was one necessary re-shoot because of a continuity error with clothing, however, I feel the final shoot was successful. As a group we followed the rules of continuity, including the 180 degree rule, match on action, chronological ordering and clothes were kept the same throughout the film. One problem we encountered on several occasions was a poor level of acting, most shots to several times to capture without actors breaking character. However once all scenes were shot there were no real problems aside from minor faults with editing such as bad cuts and transitions.
Each team member contributed to the group in one way or another, so in my opinion the team functioned successfully. Each member stuck to their role in the group: Lily acted, Ryan filmed and I acted and edited, so the team functioned well.
In terms of the technical execution, the film is very simple, perhaps some more intricate shots and editing techniques such as match on action would improve the technical quality of the film.
